Guys I don't want to put a damper on all this enthusiasm but isn't anybody worried about going from a profit this year to being in the red next? Don't get me wrong I'm long this stock and I think we all realize that axc is about the future.Spending money to create this future is of course necessary and what will make this future a reality. But I'm not sure everyone feels this way. Over on the Yahoo thread some are actually looking forward to this earnings report to boost the stock! Anyone here think that this could be a short term problem?

Lycos is stepping into Web radio.

The Web portal, known for its search engine and content, will tomorrow begin broadcasting radio hits through the Internet, the company said.

The new service, called The Lycos Radio Network, will feature play lists of songs from different genres, including hip-hop, alternative, smooth jazz, country, and "hot tracks." Lycos Radio will also use video feeds to stream advertisements and music video.

Lycos Radio is a partnership with Westwind Media, and also uses Rolling Stone for its music-related content.

Users need to download a RealAudio media player to use the service. Lycos plans to eventually introduce e-commerce links into the client. Currently, the client serves advertisements, between audio clips.

This is not the first time Lycos has taken measures to tap the burgeoning popularity of music on the Web. In February, the company launched a database able to search for MP3-encoded audio download files.
