These forums are supposed to be arenas for genuine debate - so it is perfectly proper for me to question a bald assertion about gold and deflation - which patently has no basis in fact - for the simple reason that we haven't actually had a deflation since before the war. I may not scour the net for web sites to copy - but if you've read my posts you will realise that I have had experience as an investor, a gold mining executive and as a stockbroker. But when I see humbug I try to call it as I see it. I've never had a run-in with Rose as you and Hutch have (actually we did have a small one once - can't remember about what now), and I found the whole thing rather childish and emotional on both sides frankly. As far as Ron is concerned I rarely agree with him - but I do think that he makes a valuable contribution here because he keeps the pot boiling, and I can see that he likes to twist tails - and there are plenty to twist here! dd
