Wasn't talking about Rose!! Yes - gold has done well for those countries with currency deflation - not only S. Korea, etc., but also Canada, Australia, South Africa, and no doubt Russia - that is why we have not seen the contraction in supply that one might expect - and that is why underground mining is going through a resurgence in Canada, with Red Lake, Kirkland Lake to the fore. But I'd focus on the currency aspect - eg gold is looking pretty good if you hold Euros and I don't see deflation in Europe, Australia, South Africa, Canada - and only inflation in Russia.
