It was also my impression that the 'D' is eventually removed. There are some artifacts on Bloomberg that make me believe the old symbol remained in use until late last year. This may have delayed removing the 'D'. 30 days sounds like a short time frame. I'm not overly familiar with NASD guidelines on this but I would have thought something longer, maybe a year. Sorry I can't be of more help.
