MM, re. put buying binge. Based on what happened on Monday and later on, I think one thing is obvious. If one waits for slight weakness in the market to short, it might already be late. By the time we see the weakness, the market would already have been down a lot and they already have begun tightening the rope around the shorts. And if one shorted last Monday, he would know what I meant!

That's why I am taking my chances.
