This is commerce... of COURSE money is what SI is all about. This is not a free site, this is a subscription service. People subscribe here because of the OTHER PEOPLE who subscribe here. It is a community of investors who teach and learn and scam and protect and do all the things that they do in the real world. No one pays to come here and look at charts, they come here for the discussion. There are precious few here that are worth talking to, and not many that can be trusted.

Wayne is one of the few intelligent investors here that is not scamming and has no agenda. He represents all that is best about this forum. He broke the rules, and his punishment is something that is at "the sole discretion" of Si admininstration. I personally feel that this punishment does NOT fit the crime. If you terminate Wayne and others like him for petty offenses like this, you will be left with the dregs of SI society. This will degenerate into a forum full of sharks and idiots with no one worthwhile remaining.

We can all email the SI admins, but ultimately this will be ironed out (or not) by Wayne and Bob (or Jill).

I do NOT want to see an SI where all thats left is Big Dog Tokyo Joe Danny Miller types taking advantage of the weaker inexperienced newbies buying power to move their "picks". Eventually, SI would be perceived as a shark infested cesspool, and subscribership would plummet. After all it is the PEOPLE who bring the other people here....

shoot1st, I'd like to see Wayne back, as much as anyone here.

There is some recoginition, within the Admin, of the good calls Wayne makes, and market insight he shares with others to help people. SI appreciates that, and there's some support for him in that respect. On the other hand, the course of action with 'the links' was really disruptive to the system, so that is what's driving the wedge between them, so to speak. I don't know how it'll finish, but I'm hoping the baby isn't thrown out with the bath water.

SI isn't completely ignoring all the good things Wayne has provided to the community - the situation still has some room to play out. Good time for everybody to step back a bit. I think the case is really overstated thinking in terms of "bad guys win"/"good guys lose"
