I understand your frustration: This is the kind of pig-headed U.S. arrogance that the rest of the world is really starting to hate. NATO, is just another term for "THE U.S. PROTECTORATE OF EUROPE". NATO is outside their mandate acting on behalf of a half-cocked, half-brained U.S. secretary of state. But then my question to you is this: ''What other kind of protectorate do you want?'' I mean do you want a world ruled by the Chinese? Or by the Russians? Maybe... the Japanese? Oh! I see, you're screaming for these good ol' Europeans to rule the world all over again?! Sure, the U.S. fabric is far from perfection --just think of this outrageous Littletown massacre-- but I think that they're closer to the ''ideal global village'' the world should be. Just think of how the world would look like if the only Superpower in town were the Chinese People Republic... we'd end up with would-be Milosevics all over the map!! When the US will help us get rid of this insane Milosevic, they'll regain unprecedented MORAL CLOUT on the international scene: millions of impoverished people throughout the world are watching what's going on in Kosovo and they expect to see NATO succeeding in its operation. Then the tough part will be for the US to restore ''law and order'' elsewhere in the Third World...
