No confusion on my part about the meaning of rate cuts, but I believe the FED holds the view that the positive benefit to the market of rate cuts will more than offset the temporary negative that you mention. Especially since we will continue to babble about how great our shopkeeper economy is and how bad the rest of the world is. The FED has already demonstrated its non concern with "inflation" since they know full well the issues with asset inflation and are abetting it. (imo)
