The same guy said that the fact that people will accept free PCs so they could be tracked around the net was proof that the masses have accepted Intels infamous CPD-ID. I don't believe that Intel has gained back all the market share they lost. You can believe this PR genius if you like.
As far as K6- ASPs...I don't know how much it will help but AMD is producing mostly >=400MHz chips now. Not that much below 400.

Sorry to have to correct you, but AMD ONLY SHIPPED 4.3 MILLION CPUS in Q199.
