JVM has significant memory and CPU overhead. The more JVM's I run the more horespower I'm stealing for executing my business applications.

My point is that I have to comprimise the power of my 12-64 way box (running more JVM's) to be scalable. Also I have to design my Java applications to interact between multiple JVM's.
