>>>Doesn't NSOL get a $7 fee for every registration by the other entities?<<<

AV,

There's a 2 month test phase that went into effect today. The five companies selected to compete "with" NSOL are AOL, France Telecom's Oleane, Internet Council of Registrars, Melbourne IT and register.com. After the test phase ends June 24th, twenty nine (29)other "competitors" are scheduled to begin selling registration services.

Now, as far as the pricing plan is concerned:

Network Solutions will charge the competing registrars a $9 fee for each domain name that it enters into the registry database. Secondly, registrars must pay a one-time $10,000 fee to Network Solutions to license the software that the company developed to allow access to the shared-registration system.

I believe NSOL was asking for a $16 fee, but was denied...however from what I've been able to see, investor's biggest fears were a $1-$5 fee...and NSOL traded down on those fears...so when the actual numbers came in above that, she rallied. Daytraders are hitting the stock and scalping for a few points here and there. It seems a new base has been formed in the $85 area for now. I believe NSOL is at a H&Q conference today..4pm Pacific Time....be on the lookout for analyst guidance here..potential PR this week.

In my opinion, the cloud of uncertainty over the pricing issue has now been lifted. NSOL embraces her new "competition". We must remember, NSOL's been doing this for over 7 years now...they are rooted, while the "newbies" walk in big mama's footsteps. It will be some time before the competition will actually be competition.

I'm long NSOL and will be adding on dips if presented.
