CitX and Zonics Form Strategic Venture Partnership; Will Deploy the World's First Subscription-Based, Security, Accessibility, and Anti-Spam Monitoring Service for Web, Email, And E Commerce Servers
QUAKERTOWN, Pa., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- CitX Corporation of Quakertown, PA, and Zonics Inc. of King of Prussia, PA, today announced their Strategic Partnership to jointly develop, maintain, and market ZMONX, a new web-centric platform that provides businesses with the ability to subscribe to various Internet-hosted performance monitoring and intrusion-alert services, via the Internet.

Monitoring services include reliability, accessibility, and security of Web Sites, Email, and B2B E Commence servers. In addition, a new service will be deployed by CitX that enables the users to reduce and prevent Spam mail without the need of special software or hardware to be installed at their ISP or email service provider.

ZMONX, a platform that captures browsing, server-performance, and E Commerce transaction information as separate monitoring events, runs on UNIX and NT servers jointly operated by CitX, Zonics, and their ISP alliance partners.

The data collected from the events monitored includes the performance of web pages, banner ads, mail and E Commerce servers; execution time of transaction events and functions; the navigation path users take through a Web Site; and the time it takes a user to make a purchase, using the CitX automated data mining technology. All event and transaction data collected is stored in a customized NCR ''Teradata'' data warehouse that clients can access to create their own intelligent data-marts, analyze performance, and view reports remotely using a Web browser.

Clients will be able to configure the ZMONX service options and set up or modify specific transaction events using a JAVA-enabled Web Browser without the need to purchase any additional software or hardware.

The ZMONX platform, including optional automatic escalation notification of security and performance, alerts directly to a client's pager, email, and voice phone. In addition, the CitX Middleware engine enables the ZMONX platform is fully XML and EDI compatible, and is scalable to support any enterprise-wide application.

CitX and Zonics will jointly market the ZMONX services directly to individuals and businesses under a fee-for-use subscription arrangement. CitX will also offer the ZMONX services through its ISP Alliance Partner Program, which enables ISP's to offer the same services to their clients as a value-add service, and share in fees revenue.

Prices for ZMONX begin at $9.95 per month for a basic-package that includes up to a combination of 6 transaction and Web monitoring events. Full enterprise solutions start at $199 per month. CitX, in the next 60 days, is launching a large beta rollout of the ZMONX services with a major national ISP partner.

''We are excited to work with the Zonics team to create this new Internet service offering,'' said Bernie Roemmele, CEO of CitX Corporation. ''ZMONX will be a valuable tool for any business that is serious about B2B E Commerce and the overall effectiveness of its Web Site and E Commerce servers.

Similar monitoring services have been offered as shrink-wrapped packages, with much less functionality and flexibility, and typically cost over $2,000 per client server. By comparison, ZMONX is very cost effective at $9.95. In addition, the platform is instantly scalable, a feature that can meet the future needs of our clients without significant impact to the clients' bottom line.''
