re: "3 steps forward, and 2 3/4 back for the next few quarters. "

The recent stairstep up from 24 to 31, does that count as one or three steps?

My guess is: one step, but we're going to have to wait a while for steps 2 and 3. When the market concludes that Y2K is not the end of the world for ERP (or anyone else), this stock will soar. Until then, volatility and false starts. I don't know when confidence returns, but I'm willing to wait, and I think I got a good buy-in price.

If I had more self-discipline, I'd not look at the stock price for a couple of years. I need something to entertain and distract me in the meantime. Maybe I should take 5% of my portfolio and start daytrading AMZN.

The people on the Baan thread sure are depressed. Very few posts, even when earnings come out, and then they only talk about lawsuits and creative accounting. Cruising the threads for SAP's competitors is a good way to reinforce the fact that SAP is the gorilla.

When do you think this industry comes back into favor?
