Tenchusatsu, The Intel strategy is the one used by big oil in the early 1900's, cut the price until the competitor is driven out. In those days the product was oil, all the same and the differentiation was geographic as shipping was a barrier that the small refinery could not overcome so the national refiner would use profits from i's monopoly areas to compete in. Intel has the high end CPU as it's profitable barrier as it tries to drive AMD down.
As to losses?, they are reductions in profits for Intel but they have reduced AMD to negative profits(known as losses).

So Tenchu, as a loyal minion who suckles from Intel's breast, dare you agree?
