Jim Cramer, speaking in an AOL auditorium a few minutes ago, offered this to a questioner:

Jim, what do you think of the prospects for a Comcast/AOL bid for MediaOne?

TSCNYjjc: I think that it is a possibility, but T has really said that it will just pay more, so it becomes a losing proposition at a certain point.

Also, on the general subject of Internet stocks:
Question: After earnings season is over do you see a large dip in the internets?

TSCNYjjc: I dont think that these stocks trade off that kind of calendar. In fact, I see no correlation whatsoever along those lines and I wouldn't worry about the earnings calendar as much as I would worry about the IPO calendar, which, if it gets too heavy, will be bad for the exisiting Net stocks.
