One of my favourite lines in "The Electronic Daytrader" essentially said.... Doesn't matter what signal you give good traders to make their entry point.... you could just flip a coin. What differentiates between good traders and bad traders is that the former know when to exit. So... TA is as good a tool to use for taking a position as anything else. I still think it is important to know what others think.. TA and fundamental and momentum investors... the more you know, the better chance you have of second guessing them. Last but not least, I was watching a program on CNBC last night about their high school investment challenge.... the winning team this year.... a group of 3 girls who did nothing but use TA. 117% return in 3 months or something equally ridiculous.... they used it on internet companies, toy companies, the whole works!! They sure beat me ... so I'm going to be a little less critical of TA in the future!!!
