The higher the value in the correlation coefficient, the closer the movement of the security tracks the index. AIQ has a program that allows one to rank the correlation of securities to indexes or industry groups so that you can build a database of stocks with those industry and sector relationships. AXP, C, and GE are the most highly correlated of the Dow stocks.
