freeus..i use msdw, have my choice between flat fee based on a regressive percentage of portfolio value (excellent choice if you trade a lot) or discounted commissions...it's not which full service firm, but what relationship you build with a single individual..aka "your broker"...paying a 1000 commission on a six figure stock purchase is secondary to the protection that this individual offers..as in if a execution goes awry..they literally eat it.....has happened before, and will happen...rather know that i can swiftly execute my order than depend on an anonymous computer trade..prefer an individual who is responsible to me..why, because i'm the customer! good luck, ed a.
