Internet - Security stocks quadrupled as a group from the October lows to the end of December. Some of the recent problems are company-specific, such as slow software sales by Network Associates.

I hope this mania continues for at least three more years. I have some commercial property I'm trying to sell. Much of the demand for office space near Dulles Airport of Northern Virginia is from telecom and internet companies.

I have used PCLN and found it to be almost a scam as a business model. The buyer is on the hook to accept whatever substandard accommodations in hotel or rental car or airline PCLN can dredge up with no recourse. And even with the ability to book any departure arrival and layover time they couldn't meet competitive fares from Travelocity, PTVL, etc.

They pushed a lot of merchandise below cost before the IPO to generate the illusion of a sustainable revenue stream. PCLN sells stock pure and simple.
