After hours trading seldom has much to do with what'll happen tomorrow. James Cramer of theStreet.com had a v interesting column on his forays in after hours market, and it came across that there's typically very little volume moves (small blocks of shares), and that anything of any size at all (and it ain't much) is more mano a mano stuff, trying to manipulate everyone else.

In any case, much of the after hours trading that is quoted on threads is actually late trades being posted (ie. they took place earlier in the day but couldn't be registered immediately due to trading volumes), and people don't realize it.

I put little faith in after hours trading.
