O/T SargeK ...The Green Monster shows its ugly head. I've labeled this post O/T so as not to waste anyone's time - however; of course; I will respond to your comments. Concerning GIFI - Sarge - it is documented that I did trade GIFI a few times and very successfully I sold at the near exact top of $12 and it retraced 30% to $9 shortly thereafter - sorry it didn't stop at exactly $8 on the button.... and you are criticizing me on ''this'' trade ??? okie dokie... GIFI was not unlike CAM & RIG from the Sept - Jan run - which I pointed out in numerous posts that I did, was, and would continue to trade from the low $20's to the $30's - continually buying and selling on nothing more than those price targets. We did this 3-4-5 times . FGI was another great ''trader'' that I and many others traded in its very well defined trading range of 10-12 - to 12-15... GIFI had the same type of volatility - ''read'' - opportunity. The entire point was the incontrovertible ''trading range'' of these stocks - it was there - we did it and we have the cash in our pockets - not once, not twice, but in many cases - 3-4-5 times. The entire point of my ''trade'' versus buy & hold strategy here is that we have literally had 5 - 50% sector trading moves in 8 months. This was as much volatility as the OSX, or most sectors would have in 5 years ! One could literally have the opportunities for profits in 8 months - in what would normally take 5 years - good, bad, or indifferent; it is a mathematical fact. Thus if there ''ever'' was a time to trade - it was & is now ! When I took profits on GIFI at $12 - my main strategy was to take at least ''some'' profits at $12 - as it looked prudent timing-wise and it looked a bit ''toppy'' pricewise. I allways talk about - not closing out entire positions, but given our trading range behavior over the last 8 months - why not take profits on the huge, near -overnight run ups ? So it bottomed at $9 and not $8 - gee Sarge go ahead and hold my hand to the fire on that one (VBG) - I'll e-mail you every trade in & out to the teenie I make so you can calculate it livetime to the nearest 1/16th.... get a life man ! For what its worth - I sold GIFI at the near the exact top and we had an opportunity to re-buy it at $9 days later - I won't repost my ''rotation'' gains even though many of them were individual trades and were posted ''livetime'' . You're missing the entire Forest for a twig on the ground here ! There is no legitimate arguement against ''trading'' a quadruple bottom and these runs of late - NONE ! - so please end your neurotic tirade on trading vs. buy & holding - why don't your write the Wall Street Journal, Barrons, CNBC et al and launch your tirade against all of the Traders of the World ? Why the hell aren't your in Mutual Funds ? If you aren't a ''trader'' why would you even be posting here and commenting on the day to day, week to week movements on these stocks - why would YOU care ? This is the Silicon Investor Board - 85% of all members/posters ARE traders to some extent, or another - period. I don't see a buy & hold thread listed here by the way either...(hint). GIFI aside; lets talk the real point here; how I traded GIFI is NOT what this is all about - SargeK's well documented and legendary need to be the ONLY voice on a message board and his neurotic need for the electronic spotlight is well known. How many message boards have you personally ruined on Yahoo; Sarge ? 20-30 now ? You continually argue with anyone who disagrees with you, or steals the electronic spotlight for a moment from you, untill you've ruined yet another message board . Sorry, Sarge - but since this is SI and not YAhoo; there will be some people who desire to ''talk trading'' - sorry if we offend your reptilian sense of simplicity... it is very ironic - that many times you have ''claimed'' to be a trader - obviously when it was convenient - or a necessary ''re-write'' of Cityscape history (VBG) ! also - wasn't there a post where you ''dumped'' a stock completely of late here in the Oilpatch - ohh, we'll just leave that for another subject... Sarge, your need to electronically ''elbow'' yourself atop these threads is LEGENDARY; so have at it 'ole buddy - balls in your court: SargeK - the Internet Legend of the infamous Cityscape Debacle - reappears... Keep cutting & pasting all that old outdated Yahoo ''profile'' info on GIFI & UIFAB - keeping those tirades against anyone who sells - obviously anyone who takes profits is no different from a Boiler Room - Market Manipulator in your little world and surely - there is room for only one ego of your size untill the bandwidth problem gets resolved (VBG) - Sarge - I loved your enthusiam, loyalty to your imagined causes; but your neurotic paranoia and need for an ''electonic'' spotlight is well documented and once again your ugly green monster ego-tapeworm has reared its head... I don't know how I became your latest victim/target - allthough, in reality - it isn't to hard to understand , now is it ? You have become a crotchety old fart who literally believes that if anyone on an Internet Board posts anything on profit taking, selling, or any bearish news - that they will make the damn stock sell off and affect your personal position; and you react accordingly with your tirades against selling/profit taking/ trading and your legendary Boiler Room - market manipulator drivel. You honestly think that these inane message boards control the markets and affect your personal positions and act accordingly ! Sarge, I honestly think you need mental health counselling... the VA has a hotline # - use it. Get a life. Relax, this is NOT life & death. When I take profits - (the dreaded & unforgiveable ''SELL" word) you think that makes ''your'' stock go down.... Your long track record through ''net-dom'' is indeed legendary. Your place in history was carved forever on the gravestone of your Cityscape fatal attraction. - your buy & hold near life & death fixation on that stock, and your near addiction to that thread should have been the subject of a study on Internet Addiction. Your ''ruling'' the Cityscape board and the financial death march that you led hundreds of individual investors on, would have made anyone with a conscious - retreat into anonymity. Seems like you were somewhat legendary after it went from $30 to $6 to $2 to .02 cents on having had ''traded'' it down successfully - never - NEVER having posted ANY trading commentary. YOU my friend are ''the'' legend in re-writing history. As I ''know'' you and your Internet legendary need to be the ''star'' on these message boards - I'll exit; as your neurosis and immenient tirades toward me will only disrupt an otherwise excellent message board. - I'll exit in the name of decency... SargeK - it's all yours - you got the ball now...you the man ! I will ''only'' wear the ''black hat'' and play ''monday morning QB'' for a while here.
