re: "DRBES, would you make it to the annual shareholders' meeting on 4/29 in NYC?"

I did intend to attend previously. It is so close and convenient. Annual meetings, in my experience, are almost always a waste of time. Unless, of course, you have an ax to grind against management, I do not anymore. News, if any, tends to get released in advance of the meeting. Even if it is released at the meeting, it will be available on the wire services promptly, possibly even earlier than it gets verbalized at the meeting itself. There may be some excitement since there are many dissatisfied stockholders, to say the least, who may show up. This could make for a very entertaining floor show. Maybe, I will go.

Regards,

DARBES

Could you answer a question for me? I do not follow AMD very closely due to time constraints, but am curious about their Fab numbering. The Austin Fab is #25 and the new Fab in Dresden is #30. This implies to me that they have built 4 other Fabs in the interim, or that they have decided to start numbering Fabs in multiples of 5.<ggg> Can you help me understand this?

Thanks, Andy
