HiTech,

Is that your calculation or do you have a website link for the NASDAQ TRIN info?

TIA,

Chris

Where do you get that data?

I calculate NAZ 5 day TRIN every evening and the 5 day was 5.7 as of Friday's close by my calculations.

I will double check when I get home.

I have 5-day TRIN at .66 (66 in AIQ) which is very overbought. In five days, it's gone from oversold at 1.69 (in AIQ 169). Similar at 10-day TRIN, it's gone from 1.32 to .81. That's about the fastest I've seen them move from one extreme to the other.

A short-term reversal should be forthcoming. 18% of the stocks in the Nasdaq 100 have triggered 5-period Wilder RSI sell signals in the last 3 days. 32% of the stocks in the S&P 500 have triggered RSI-5 sells (versus 4%) in the same period. Hence, the S&P has been more labored than the other averages.

It may be as swift as the last rally and the prior sell-off. Drive up the options premiums and frustrate option holders.

Interesting news from Philadelphia Stock Exchange to propose that all people trading stocks on its exchange be required to pass NASD Series 7 exam.
