OSX stocks my take.

I will never consider OSX stocks as buy & hold. They depend on the "Price of Oil Stupid" and are extremely volatile. The oil price is controlled by "The Power Structure" & we the investor are not part part of it. They are definitely not looking out for "Our" money, but are happy to take it all!! Chart one/two of the major oils against SLB and see the difference in volatility over a 10/15 yr. period.

I have been following & investing in the sector since 1980. I have made very good money, but only on rare occasions have I held long enough to use long term capital gains. In the past year I bought slb,do,rig, rdc, esv,& pde late Aug,98 & sold the 1st wk of Nov. I bought the same stocks on Dec. 29,98. I sold all but rig & slb on Friday's open. The (2) buys & sells made more than 110% except slb & rig which I decided to hold. If they drop significantly I'll buy more. IMHO this is the only way to invest in this sector.
