Hi Tip :
Praise the Lord. I just took a 45% profit in FNMIX. Everything I read says that the em market bond and emerg stock markets have gotten way ahead of themselves. That is one of the best returns ever for me, so I,m going to shout the name of Jesus from the roof tops.

As you know our church bought 13 acres of land to build on. 18,000 sq ft. 9000 sq ft sanctuary. I have almost finished paying off my initial pledge on the land. If the Lord provides the final 20 % on my initial pledge I'm seriously considering another pledge this year; which I wasn't considering even a week or two back.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that more of the responsibility lies with the Lord to fulfill pledges than it does to us. A pledge is just that . It is saying. Lord if You Will, I WILL. No more no less. If the Lord DOESNT then in my way of thinking, we are not responsible to fulfill the pledge.

After all a pledge is not a vow. VOWS are accountable. IMO.

Any thoughts...?? Gregor

Hi Tip :

I've been high on REIT's since late last year.

I feel this is a classic day . The DOW is down 132 as I write this. The REIT index is up .66 %. Treasuries are getting slammed !!

Why classic.? REIT's tend to perform best in the 6 to 18 months after interest rates rise, when the economy is overheating and there is a wiff of inflation in the air. Taking the negative of higher interest rates and the positive of possible increases in underlying asset values the underlying asset values are weighted much heavier. Possible recovery in asia-- a real positive also..hang on tight I look for the ^rms index to break 315 and move to 325 , very soon....

The large cap issues take off first and many have substantial moves behind them . Two small issues you may want to look at are REA and OFC. They are just starting to move and both have 9 to 10 % yields..... In Christ..Gregor
