Looks like the earnings report was an absolute non-event. It didn't happen and VECO doesn't exist. Seriously though. I think the report is more powerful than it appears on the surface because they made slightly better numbers in spite of losing an 800 lb gorilla account (IBM). When you observe that the VECO b/b of 1.16 is not up to "industry" b/b of 1.3, I believe you are referring to the semi equip industry, while VECO remains more of a HD equip co. Considering the plight of the HD companies, I think they have done quite well.

Question - They keep citing the accelerating transition to GMR as the fuel for their sales. Does anybody on this thread have a breakdown as to how many DDs are currently GMR and what the percent will be one to two years out?
