wide open question to the G* thread (with apologies if already asked). Isn't there some use for ~60ish birds in orbit? Granted that Iridium will be a financial disaster as originally conceived, I find myself watching LOR/G* struggling to get theirs aloft! In other words, even though I have always felt that I* would wind up in the soup (though admittedly not this fast or this deep), one has to admit that they did a stellar job on the launch side of things while the good guys are keeping their fingers crossed getting their constellation airborne. Thoughts? Mike Doyle

4/15/99 16% increase in G* short position. Well, well, well. I guess the shorts figured 4/26 I* earnings/abysmal subscriber numbers would make easy pickins -- I was hoping for one more purchase. But, Wall St. is finally figuring out the lovely distinctions between I* and G*. It will be fascinating to watch this short story over the next months before the 9/99 roll-out. I'll be here. djane
