<<.last I heard...RK was receiving shares in lieu of salary>>

Who says she isn't still? You need a printed salary in lieu of which to take shares, right? The CEO of my largest holding has a reported salary of $90,000/year; only a detailed reading of the annual report discloses that a good hunk of that is taken in shares.

Last year's shareholder meeting notice put Rebecca's holdings at 1,297,329 or about 3.5% of total common shares o/s (by my calculations). Her salary was raised from $200,000 (where it had been since 1992) to $275,000 last year to reflect cost of living increases and to keep it in line with other similar positions.

Also worthy of note, Rebecca elected to receive her entire salary in equivalent shares in 1996 & 1997 ($200,000 value each year) and in 1998 she took $100,000 in shares for her first six month's income. I am not aware of any redemptions.

I am also not aware of any other CEO's with this level of fiscal commitment.
