>> CREAF could buy nVidia.

My vote goes with this one. The main advantage here is that it kills a lot of other players, eg. DIMD, Matrox, TRID, etc. Thereby creating a great value long term for all the remaining ones, i.e. ATYT, TDFX, and of course the new CREAF. S3 may also survive. The point being, that even though on the surface this may not sound like a good idea, over a two year period it will be a great idea. A good chunk of the industry will have a rather quick death and after 2 years, CREAF will be able to concentrate on profitability rather than price wars. Of course, given that I want to buy some TDFX, I am not sure if I want CREAF to do this <g>, but it is their best option IMO.

<<CREAF and Diamond (hate even suggesting it) could merge. Certainly, that would help lessen price erosion. >>

Two of the worst management in the industry, hum!!, i wonder what would be the result. I still prefer holding CREAF and if i were CREAF i sure wouldn't pay too much for DIMD.

ESST seems to be gaining ground in many areas. Looks like they have a good share of laptop (higher margin) market. They just beat their earnings estimate of .06 by .22 cents (.28). They have worked hard for strategic positioning in China market, which was very successful last quarter and could well grow exponentially. Stock price has risen from $5 1/2 to $11 in about 1 week.

I think CREAF and ESST would fit well together, but I see a lot of room for consolidation in this market. Margins could be raised considerably for SoundBlaster line if there were not so many ESST like companies.

ESST is venturing into internet telephony, using their own patents in audio, and are investing in a company developing VoiP. Wonder if CREAF has any plans to make the internet work for them? They could buy ESST for about 1/3 the market cap of CREAF.
