However I did not read this off of any text book but gained the knowledge through experience. So there is a chance that I may be proven wrong. I have noticed that the W%R indicator will show very similar patterns when they go into this trending mode. The indicator gravitates to the top or bottom slowly. Many times it will ricochet from one band to the other a couple of times, but always showing that the time spent near the favored band is longer that the other. Eventually it gets into overbought or oversold bands, and stays in it for an extended period of time. Take a look at the NAZ chart for the last three or four months, and you'll see what I mean.
