To Zax: Wrong Answer Doc! The last split was announced
shortly after earnings were reported in January (about
10-15 minutes later). I remember the scene clearly:
A mob (and I mean a real MOB) of traders were waiting
on the floor of the exchange waiting for the earnings
and split news. When they didn't receive the split
immediately the stock began to trade lower. After the
split was announced the price began to rebound and
the rest is history. I think a split announcement is
both warranted and a realistic expectation at these
levels. Lets see what happens after 4 PM EDT. Good
Luck and GO AOL, GO BABY!!!!

I know you were addressing to someone else, but I felt the need to correct this:

"up, Prolly... but remember, last time they announced the split about a week after
earnings. I think in reality the numbers will be so good that the lack of a split"

I have been through last 2 split, and I can recall that they announced splits the same day of earnings.
