Had the same experience. Try NASDAQ Level II free at www.tradescape.com and your get a better picture of the market. Island represents a very small portion of the action.

Ira, and others, there is a "secret" if you have the ISLD viewer open (web page viewer is:

gritch.isld.com

Then click on "your" order - the number contains a hotlink to:

example: gritch.isld.com

Turns out that the number "Shares Entered" is displayed on the book view. But what counts is "shares remaining". I have seen that often.

If you are quick you see what I mean in that order. Entered: 300, remaining: 200 (book view shows 300!!)

Partial fills do happen, especially in CIEN for a reason I don't know. Longer time ago I traded 300 shares CIEN. I got 22 fills for 2 shares each and then the remainder in one fill. Can be annoying.
