CC,

First off, thanks for the detailed response. As for the ranking, I just hope it goes up next year when you guys all fill out your exit surveys!!

I am looking to specialize in Tech. I have been doing tech consulting for the last 3 years and plan to continue in that field. Also take in a course or 2 in finance apart from the standard 1st year stuff. Haven't looked at the program structure in that detail to know if that is possible or not, but sure hope so.

I do love football - did my Masters in Comp Engg at USC and saw Keyshawn Johnson and other top 5 draft picks play there. Nice to be going back to a school where there is a football tradition.

Now for a few more questions:

1. How decent is the UT shuttle and metro shuttle? In the sense that, would it be possible to live say 4 miles from campus and get to the library at 11.30 pm ? I was looking for apartments on the net and didn't see too many appealing apartments close to campus but found some real nice ones a few miles away. Being married, that is pretty important.

2. How is the workload in the first year? Is it possible to have a life? Are 1st year students ever seen in the workout room?

3. And how is the grading? I haven't been able to figure that one out at all, no info anywhere.

Austin sounds like a real hip place to be in, just hope I get a chance to enjoy it all...

As for higher rent, I live in the Bay Area so I am already drooling with the prospect of paying lower rent and getting a much bigger apartment

About that Dell laptop, Damn, I shouldn't have bought those Dell puts!!! On the other hand, they might just pay for the laptop.(g) sweet irony that would be

Thanks once again

Monish
