There's a lot of deception already, for instance a practice called 'ticker spamming' or something like that - where some dubious stock promotion provides links to various successful companies in their releases in an obvious attempt to gain credibility and page hits.

And I haven't heard of Business Wire having a problem with that.

April Fools is an old English tradition, but there the jokes end at noon or at dark, depending on local custom ... perhaps the Cambridge Debating Society should hear of this strange new American way of extending them throughout the month by using the court system.
