On Dell, I can't speak for Earlie or thread namesake, all-caps MB, but I continue to disagree. Alas, the root of my criticism is long-term, so we'll have to wait a smidge longer than two months on this, but I've bet a few folks on the Dell thread that Dell will not be able to grow EPS over 20%/year for the next five years. Bukun says 35-50%, and mystifyingly accuses me of pessimism. <g> -mb (lowercase)

John:

Long time, no hear.

Delighted to read your note.

I agree with the "draw" noted in para one, although if you had added in MU, Iridium and Rambus, perhaps we did a bit better than that. (g)
Dell was kind, but INTC did skate around the problem for another quarter, so we did miss on the timing of that one. We're in "add" mode on both.

I also agree with you that perception is reality. I never expected the "units" arguments to get past anybody, but it did, so more patience is required from the already tested (and testy) bears. C+ is , on that basis also accepted. (g)

Dell is still centred on the targeting radar, so we can agree that this one is a "stand and deliver" scene. The sword is out, so engarde. (g)

Best, Earlie
