Richie, Maybe MSFT might be a backup for AT&T in case Comcast has another bid. However, the only problem is that MSFT has a financial interest in Comcast.
You never know.

I hold about as much AT&T as Microsoft and feel pretty good about T's earnings. Actually I also hold more Media One than Microsoft in my portfolio. I just hope the both T and Media One go up a lot so that I can unload some of these shares and get back to my favorite, MSFT.
I just bought them after the announcement of the takeover by AT&T but might actually hold on to AT&T as a long term investment but it would be smaller percentage of my portfolio.
