Suzanne, We are not quite so Internet illiterate in the UK and Ireland as your 'Brit' source would have you believe. There are in fact dozens of portals / search engines specialising in UK and Irish content ( yahoo.co.uk for example ). I am aware of at least six that are targeted to the Irish market, and many more that are in the planning stage. Remember that the population of Ireland is only 3.5 million ( + 1.5 million in Northern Ireland ). None of the above is intended to diminish the importance of the newly announced partnership between TeleServices International Group, Inc. and Riseholm Investments Limited in the formation of the International Sound Corporation Ltd. (ISC). However, if you read the press release carefully you will see that all it claims is that it "will develop the first UK Internet portal available......... for TSIG.com's eBusiness solutions suite of e-commerce products and services", not that it will be the first UK Internet portal! I really appreciate many of the thoughts and research that you have brought to this thread, Suzanne. Barry Dublin, Ireland
