Agreed. Perhaps Business Wire should be made to eat their words. :-D

Beanies Craze Takes an Adult Twist
Introducing StarFrazers
BEVERLY HILLS, CA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1999-- Capitalizing on the Beanies success, StarFrazers, a start-up L.A. based company, has created a line of talking stuffed animals specifically for adults.

Their debut product, the ''Me-So Horny Beaver'' has proven to be a hot Hollywood sensation, and is swiftly becoming the number one adult novelty gift.

Retailing in most places for under $15, StarFrazers are unique talking animals based on some of Hollywood's hottest films. Costumed as characters from these movies, StarFrazers speak when squeezed. The ''Me-So-Horny Beaver'' is clothed to resemble a streetwalker with an attitude to match. ''Bluto The Hippo'' is inspired by the film Animal House and features the voice of John Belushi. It has struck gold with all Belushi fans, and is huge on college campuses. Their latest addition is ''Porker Pig'', a cross-eyed, backwoods hillbilly with a barnyard mouth. Each animal has its own unique sayings and each is equally hilarious.

StarFrazers has been featured in numerous reports on radio, television and in print, with increased media attention daily, particularly with radio stations across the country who find the products, as well as the story of their creation, engaging and funny. The company plans to add several new products later this year.

Thanks. Naturally, this wasn't/isn't a money issue. But maybe they'll at least refund the original PR fee. <gg>

Hi, my name is Moonray and I am an Acquiholic.
I became addicted after having read hundreds and hundreds of postings
to the "other" 3COM thread. Over a year ago I suggested that IBM would
be the most likely 3COM suitor for what was the then current rumor. I
still believe this to be the case. I would suggest that IBM wants to
enter the networking business, would love to make the PalmPilot and
wouldn't mind at all making (eventually) chips for the other 3COM
products. I believe that if FORE can be taken out for $4B then COMS
can go for $20B or a stock price twice what it is now. FORE went for
over 7 times annual sales, COMS would go for half that. I believe that
whoever acquires 3COM will sell some pieces. Potential suitors:
                     Figures in $Billions
Company Symbol Cash Assets
3COM COMS .98 4.56
Nokia NOK 2.64 10.21
Ericsson ERICY 2.87 19.11
Intel INTC 2.04 31.47
Lucent LU .94 31.64
Siemens SMAWY * *
IBM IBM 5.38 86.10
* Data not found for Siemens, but, annual sales currently $70.75B

So what does the thread think? Will their be a merger in the near
future? How will be willing to spend the money, and why?
