Anyone heard about the layoff in Monrovia, CA? My brother, who's been working for BA in Huntington beach for 20 yrs, mentioned that lately he has to drive to Monrovia to finish some work b/c the location is shutting down. Monrovia has been laying off people, few folks a week.

I did not find this news anywhere. It could be it's a small fraction of layoff, so it's an internal news.

Also, I was told that BA daily news for its employees last week released right after the earnings one/two days warning next year earnings will be flat, that what brought the stock from 43 to 39.

IMO, BA is still flurry. Based on my observation, they have problem with management. They could have made more profit in the last two years, but mostly it's due to mismanagement. In term of working for BA, yes if you enjoy layback, slow, then it's a good place to work for. I've been complaing to my bro that why he's working 20 yrs in the same spot, the answer is he kinda of lazy (in at 10am, out of 6pm, lunch for 2 hrs)
