good point on the short covering. as long as somebody doesn't know something we don't.

my take right now is very positive:

insider buying by SFE

bringing in more seasoned management

valuation is very low compared to comparable firms - as an example USWB market cap values each employee at $1,200,000; CATP market cap values each employee at $200,000. Employees are the product that get's marketed, and there is no way that the USWeb inventory of product is worth 6 times the CATP inventory - NO WAY.

Of course, you might say USWB is overvalued, which is true. However, if CATP can generate some credibility as an e-commerce play it will regain some of it's lost momentum.

I also think that Sims is smart enough to hand over the reins to more seasoned and capable business managers. Now if we can only keep him out of the analyst meetings, we might be in business. Or, at minimum he is flexible enough to know his bullshit won't fly anymore, and it's time for a new approach.
