NEW YORK, April 29 (Reuters) - U.S. blue chips were expected to get an opening boost Thursday from economic data showing little inflation.

Internet issues were seen under pressure.

At 0840 EDT/1240 GMT June S&P futures had turned around from weaker levels and were up three points, indicating a higher open for the cyclical-laden Dow industrial index. The first-quarter employment cost index was up 0.4 percent, below analysts' estimates for a 0.8 percent increase.

Amazon.com (AMZN - news) was trading at 173 on the Instinet, down from a Wednesday close at 193-1/2.
