After listening to the Conference call, Jinks indicated that this ADI Contract would not amount to much in terms of actual money if I heard it correctly. He did indicate that the total worldwide market for what Spectrum does is perhaps $300 Million. I see why they continue to claim to be a Worldwide Leader in whatever niche they are in if it narrows down to $300 Million. In fairness, the $300 Million is the outsourced part of the pie and some of the big companies are keeping $800 Million in house. Spectrum's growth (if any) going forward depends partly on some of the big companies increasing their outsourcing. On the other hand, if the level of economic activity turns down, these same big companies may reduce their outsourcing to avoid their own layoffs and cutbacks.
Jinks dodged any forward projections of revenues and earning and He turned away specific questions on any specific customers, citing customer confidentiality requirements. I question the need for such strict confidentiality, but I suppose it is possible.
Reading between the lines, it looks like the next three quarters will likely be mediocre. I guess today's market performance reflects that likelihood. I'm afraid that we are not going to see any new all time highs anytime soon. At these levels, there is no point in selling. Chalk it up to experience...
