Hi CarolynF, I've got MediaOne cable to the house plus I'm only 2 miles from the local Telco central office so have an ISDN line installed for fast internet access ( employer pays for it ). The local subcontractor is also installing fibre here in town and right down the street from me but I understand you still need either "fast copper" or cable modem to your local ISP as fibre is to expensive to "run to the curb". All of the players are jockeying for position and I hope Paul Allen and his crew have got a good business strategy in place to compete and get some market share. Gardener
