Thank's Jock - I saw that statement as positive too and such a move would smooth the revenue growth with guaranteed commitments of our new .18 wafers...

Can you provide any more info regarding their Fab in Washington?

"...
Demand is such that Corrigan said this past
week LSI will prolong the life of its oldest fab
in Tsukuba, Japan, and continue
manufacturing there for a few months, then
shutter the facility later this summer.
Meanwhile, LSI is in the process of ramping
up production at the first fab at its 350-acre
campus in Camas, Wash. ..."

Is the Camas, Wash. plant an older facility? Has LSI upgraded the equipment in the past 18 months to obtain better efficiencies?

I am surprised that Corrigan is cranking up the very old plants to increase total production especially if they are marginal producers...He must feel it is worth the risk with the added demand he sees on his radar screen.
