< how do you evaluate the potential for upgrades to be instigated by large clients who need to lighten up?> I certainly think that there are all sorts of shenanigans going on with "inventory" vs recommendations and the like EVEN with the FIRM vs the client. They would argue that the analyst and the firm like the stock... unfortunately the analyst works for the firm as well the client (the firm is a client as well) and so there is all sorts of "wiggle room" for double dealing.
