They may be concentrating on the larger problem accounts first, as my
margin warning came a couple of days ago. I my case there was a $.02
debit left over to from a account change within Datek. I email suggested that they debit the new account to clean up the old one.
This has caused so far two polite canned responses.

That is funny!

Still, if we think of Datek as a computer it makes sense. You get great executions (usually) for a very low price. Very efficient.

However, when it comes to special situations it's not very good. The oddities like yours are generally fairly trivial. It does undermine one's confidence, but if you think of Datek as a big computer it makes more sense and restores some confidence.

BTW, I am not a big defender of Datek, just trying to figure it all out.
