Charles, for all I have against this company, I've got to say that those who were liquidated because they didn't follow practical account management. Even the most legitimate of companies can be cut in half or more. Being over margined in a single name is a good way to wake up with negative equity. While Osicom contributed to their demise, ultimately it was their own greed that was responsible. I truly feel their pain, as I've 'been there, done that'. Hopefully some will learn a valuable lesson from the ordeal and the cost can then be written off as tuition.

This same stuff happened to ciena owners and even IBM shareholders, the fact that the price was at a 28 high also forced many shorts to cover an suffer losses. They just didnt post that due to the embarrasment they felt. Works both ways.

Noone here at SI should need this...
especially coming from a 4 year near-rookie.

PLEASE for you own sake and your loved ones,
DO NOT BUY ON MARGIN FOR THE RISK PORTION OF YOUR PORTFOLIO !

This should be recognized for what it is... an
obvious prescription for trouble.
Sorry to lecture.

Regards and Happy Hunting...

Charles: Good post, to which I can only add that should you use margin on a high risk speculation.....well, a fool and their money are soon parted, as the old saying goes, eh?
