I hope Michelle can comment. I did not read dclk's report. But it is down 20 pts. DCLK
is the king of internet advertising. Does this mean advertising is not working out as bulls
hoped ? Many have said ad cancellations are occurring and renewal rates are dropping in
price. I have no independent way to verify.

Sarmad,

I just added to my long AOL shares with the thought it will move up later today. DLJDirect online was down and I lost 4 points of move just getting the order placed.

Sarmad, dclk changed the way they reported their altavista revenues, now they use a commission approach (or something like that) that makes their revenues look lighter relative to last qtr. They also have had a giant runup and they didn't announce a split. They split already at 120 and the stock is currently at 155 so a lot of people expected a split and didn't get it, thats why the stock is down 17. To see the explosive growth in ads, you need to look at the "number of ads served" - there you get things like march '99 higher than all of q1 last year... but just looking at revs for dclk is tough because there is some saturation right now with the proliferation of sites in the dclk network.

The biggest reason I didn't trade out of the stock like I did with gnet is because I know dclk is a top tier in internet ads and I have a huge gain. I do think it will trend down next month like everything else, however I still think a 15bill mkt cap for dclk is possible in the next 18 mos or so, which is a triple from here.

BTW on this discussion about TMF returns etc. I am like you and have a small Roth IRA acct I opened this year with only $4K in it. I can't add any more $$ and no margin or options in that acct. Its already worth almost $20K because I went long dclk. Now the challenge is turning it into 100K - let me know what you decide to do with your acct like this - but for me it has to be a long play.
