And most dogs really love to learn. They are proud to be well-trained companions. And all they ask is a bit of food and a pat on the head and a lot of consistency from the boss. I don't know how punishment even enters into the process except as an obstacle. There are very few untrainable crazy dogs. When a trained dog does something impossible to tolerate, you know that it is crazy, not just moody. I sometimes think people are almost as smart as dogs, but are nearly all of them are less well trained.
