Smart Move

It is now apparent that the K4 purchase is almost a done deal and Amkor decides to borrow, exclusively, rather to issue new AMKR stock to finance the purchase.

There will be no stock dilution as people worried.

This is a smart and savvy move because the interest is historically low, and Amkor stock price is so much undervalued.

When the chip industry and Asian economy recoveries are in full swing, the PE of AMKR will reach its peers' such as ATSTF (a foreign company, instead of an American company, with a PE of more than 40). At that time it is much easier to make a secondary stock offer to pay off the debt with much higher share price.

Amkor has been under microscopes for scrutiny for so long and all the bed news is out now. Amkor is surely turning the corner along with its depressed stock price.

The "junk" stock price of Amkor will soon rise to match the "stable" -- a far far-above the junk-bond debt outlook level.
